Scott D. Cardani

Richmond, Virginia

Scott is an exceptionally competent attorney who aggressively focuses on criminal and family law, personal injury (auto accidents), and other areas such as business and general law.  Scott has tried thousands of cases with his criminal experience beginning in the Office of the Commonwealth’s Attorney for the city of Chesapeake and then in Chesterfield and Richmond where Scott spent time building relationships with the state prosecutors, judges, and clerks.  Through his relationships, trial experience, and forthright integrity, Scott has established himself as one of the most respected attorneys in the Richmond area.

Scott’s passion for criminal law led him to open his own law practice where he excelled in criminal defense work in the City of Richmond, Chesterfield, Henrico, Hanover, and Goochland counties as well as the Tri-City area.  He has represented a wide variety of clients including those charged with various traffic violations ranging from DUI, general misdemeanors and felonies as well as sex-based offenses.  Criminal and traffic charges are difficult and stressful for both the person charged and their family and Scott’s knowledge and skills in a wide variety of complex legal matters serves to alleviate the anxiety associated with these proceedings.

Scott’s extensive trial experience allowed him to quickly expand his practice to include family law, automobile accidents and other types of law (litigation).  He has used his skills to represent children as a Guardian ad Litem, incarcerated adults, parents and the disabled.  His family law practice addresses all matters of family law including separation, divorce, support, and custody.  Scott’s wealth of experience as a trial attorney allows him to successfully litigate family law matters achieving the desired result for the vast majority of his clients.

Scott is especially proud of his record in personal injury matters, such as automobile accidents and slip-and-fall cases, where he has both negotiated and litigated cases successfully against major insurance and other companies.  He understands the pain, trauma, and mental fatigue of personal injury issues and works closely with his clients to ensure they are well-prepared and ready to fight for their right to be made whole again.

When you need help from an aggressive and experienced trial attorney, Scott will treat you with the respect and dignity you deserve, listen to your concerns, tell you the truth, and always work in your best interest.
