Communication patterns that can indicate marital issues

2019_Family Law.pngIt is incredibly common for individuals to waver back and forth about whether they really want to divorce their spouse or not. They wonder if they can make the relationship work or they start to doubt the feelings that led them to consider a divorce in the first place.

How to approach divorce when you have young children

A parent's divorce is not easy for any child, no matter how old they are. However, younger children, such as toddlers, have a more difficult time understanding what is happening during and after the divorce. In their formative years, children's primary connections and bonds are with their parents. So, they often become confused when their parents are not together and no longer live in the same house.

Tips for communicating with your co-parent

For many people, they cannot imagine how they will get along with their ex-spouse once the divorce is finalized. Others might still be on civil terms with their ex-spouse. Regardless, Virginia parents who share custody of their children must still maintain regular contact after their divorce.
