Every case is personal for me and I will be a reliable counselor, whatever your legal issue may be.  I fight to help clients through some of the most difficult times in their lives.  I take great pride in helping people who are going through a difficult period in their lives – whether it is a divorce, contentious custody dispute, or criminal charges.  Together with my clients, I work to resolve these seemingly insurmountable issues quickly and with the client’s goals at the forefront.

Every person deserves an aggressive and zealous advocate, regardless of the accusations against them.  I have guided more than 600 people from the complicated and stressful court system.  In addition to representing individuals in family law matters, I have represented hundreds of individuals accused of everything from simple reckless driving to complex drug distribution and violent crimes.  As a result of this experience, I have a strong understanding of how to maneuver the legal system in order to obtain the best outcome possible for my clients.

Whatever your issue may be, I am here to be a compassionate, zealous advocate on your behalf.

I am a certified Guardian ad litem, which allows me to act as an advocate for children in the court system. I am also certified by the Virginia Indigent Defense Commission to represent adults and juveniles charged with felonies and misdemeanors. I am a member of the Virginia State Bar, the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association, and the Virginia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, in addition to local bar associations.

When I’m not in court, you can find me enjoying Richmond’s incredible food scene or volunteering at local festivals.  Before moving to Richmond, I graduated from law school at Washington & Lee in Lexington, Virginia.  While at W&L, I worked for the Criminal Justice Clinic representing low income individuals in the local courts. She was also a board member of the legal fraternity Phi Alpha Delta and an avid, if not athletic, participant in the law school football league. I earned my undergraduate degree in Political Science and International Studies from Elon University in Elon, North Carolina.  Originally from West Virginia, I still support my home team, the WVU Mountaineers.
