Bryan has practiced law in Virginia since 1999. Since then he has handled many different types of civil cases. Landowners have asked him to represent them in contract and title disputes. Landlords and tenants have both asked Bryan to assist them with matters that range from residential lease issues and evictions to commercial property management and the special challenges commercial landlords face. Bryan has enforced filed mechanic's liens for clients by filing law suits to enforce the lien holders He has represented contractors with simple to complex claims for payment by filing law suits to collect what is owed and by using his skills at negotiation. Business owners have hired Bryan to get disputes with co-owners and other resolved so that they can go about running their businesses. Bryan also has experience representing parties in divorces and in matters concerning their children's custody and support both in complex litigation and in settlement negotiations. His experience representing small business owners and knowledge of the special challenges they face in today's economy gives him a valuable perspective when representing business owners who are going through a divorce. His diverse practice brings him before the Judges in the greater Richmond area frequently.

Bryan has helped clients who want to get their estates in order and protect their children and businesses by preparing wills, trusts and other life planning documents for them. He has guided many business owners through the process of forming their businesses, buying and selling businesses, and drafting leases and other contracts and documents for a wide range of personal and business purposes. He serves as Registered Agent for numerous businesses in the Central Virginia area whose owners also consider him their company lawyer. Various religious congregations have sought out his advice and representation in matters including incorporation, seeking tax-exempt status, church trustee issues, and the purchase and sale of real estate all of which requires knowledge of the special laws that govern church related business.

Bryan's goal for his clients is to give them good value for the money they spend on representation. Litigation is expensive and the results can be uncertain. Sometimes knowing when and how to stay out of the courtroom gives a client the best results possible. Bryan knows when and how a dispute can be resolved to his client's benefit without the need for a drawn-out lawsuit. At the same time, however, Bryan's varied and extensive background with different types of litigation and experiences in the courts in the Richmond area provides reassurance to his clients that his courtroom experience will serve them well if going to into court cannot be avoided.

Prior to joining Bowen Ten Cardani, Bryan was a solo practitioner for four years. Between 2003 and 2011 he was a partner at the firm Rothenberg, Streeter & Tluchak, P.C., where in addition to his litigation practice he also practiced residential and commercial real estate law, including closings and matters involving real estate finance.

Bryan was born in California, living in Los Angeles County before moving to Virginia in high school. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia in dual majors, Spanish and Sociology. He attended George Mason University School of Law in Arlington, Virginia, where he graduated summa cum laude in 1999 and then moved to Richmond.

Bryan enjoys running and bike riding, and trying to keep pace with his 9 year old daughter. He is a football and college basketball fan. Go Hoos!
